About Me – 8‑Bit Retro Adventure

Hi, I’m Richard, the creator behind 8‑Bit Retro Adventure, what started as a love for classic retro computers and gaming has turned into a hobby small business selling helpful products to keep retro machines alive and going strong along with self designed retro inspired products made real through modern 3D printing.

If you grew up with cassette loading screens, rubber‑keyed keyboards, and heroes made from a handful of pixels, you’ll feel right at home here. And if you didn’t, I’m excited to introduce you to the wonderfully quirky world that shaped so many of us.

Why I Do This

Retro gaming has always been more than old code and simple graphics to me—it’s imagination, creativity, and a bit of chaos wrapped in nostalgia. Since having children I have tried to show them the joy of the retro computers, either thought playing classics or repairing old hardware such as ZX Spectrums or Atari 2600s.

This started out as a hobby but has grown to a small business as a family we can spend time working on and hopefully get them playing more on the 8bits than the 64bits!

What I Make

I design and 3D‑print figures inspired by the legends of early gaming:

  • Maze‑running mischief makers
  • Jet‑packing space explorers
  • Cave‑delving platform heroes
  • And plenty more pixel‑powered icons

Each piece blends old‑school charm with modern craftsmanship, resulting in bold, tactile figures that look like they’ve jumped straight out of an 8‑bit screen.

My Mission

To keep the spirit of classic gaming alive—one chunky, cheerful, collectible character at a time. Whether you’re a lifelong gamer, a collector, or someone who just loves the aesthetic of the early digital age, I’m glad you’ve found your way here.
